A little introduction...
My name's Michael Lovatt and I'm a Web Development student at Manchester Metropolitan university. I've had an interest in making websites since my early teen years and have been learning new skills, languages and design principles ever since.
Additional to web design I am a keen programmer. I've been learning PHP and JavaScript since I was fifteen and have used it to make some large scale websites and projects. Javascript is a relatively old client-side language but can be very powerful when used in modern web projects for manipulating text and media on a user's screen. Having the ability to program in PHP and tie it in with a MySQL database is a great skill to have as the majority of database driven websites nowadays require such technology and functionality.
Aside from my interest in web design and programming I like to watch and play sport, socialise, play games and travel.
